BASS GUITAR & CLARINET: John Urban
John has a positive outlook on life and music. He is familiar with both classical and jazz styles, and adapts to challenges with ease. His teaching emphasizes the importance of playing with a good sound and strong rhythm. John also enjoys attending clinics and master classes to continue to expand his strong background in music theory and teaching. Currently, John is recording a movie score with Mark Stein Studios.

• CSUF Jazz Band and Combos: Upright Bass, and Electric Bass
• Recipient of Friends of Jazz Scholarships 2005, 2007
• All Southern Honor Band, first chair Clarinet
• Studied with Jazz Legend Luther Hughes; Nick Schaadt; John Riley; and Fred Tinsley of the Los Angeles Philharmonic
• Currently finishing Bachelor's Degree at Cal State Fullerton, with an emphasis in commercial jazz and Upright Bass performance
• Other instrument: Trombone, Saxophone, Violin, and Piano
